Mrs. Rollins

Noel Ann Rollins died on Feb. 1, 2024, at the age of 74 in Austin, leaving behind a legacy filled full of love, determination and devotion. Born in Champaign, Illinois on Dec. 30, 1949, Noel was a dedicated daughter, loyal wife, and proud mother and grandmother.

Mrs. McIlhaney

Juanita Pearl Jones McIlhaney, 92, of Kingsland died at home on Jan. 29, 2024. Juanita was born on April 10,1931 to Adam and Agnes Jones in Cross Plains. She grew up and graduated from high school in Blanket. She had five siblings: Jack, Billy, Annie, Leon and Leona.

Ms. Smith

Brenda Kay (Hall) Smith, 57, died on Feb. 2, 2024, in Lampasas. She was born on May 3, 1966, in Lampasas to Danny and Donna (Mason) Hall. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Feb. 9 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be Feb. 10 at 10 a.m.

Mr. Carlile

Jarvis Rease Carlile, 91, died on Feb. 2, 2024, in Lampasas. He was born on June 8, 1932, in Nix to Lewis and Willie Faught Carlile. He met the love of his life, Shirley Long, on Sept. 10, 1952. They married on July 3, 1953, and together had three children: David, Nina and Jimmy.

Mr. Maldonado

Francisco “Frank” Maldonado, 78, of Lampasas, died on Jan. 28, 2024, at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas at 1 p.m. Feb. 3, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Mrs. Shaw

Thelma Idotha “Dodie” Shaw, 93, died in Stephenville on Jan. 26, 2024. Visitation will be Feb. 3 at Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche from 2-4 p.m. Funeral services will be Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Comanche.

Mr. Resa

Lorenzo “Lencho” Resa died on Jan. 29, 2024, at his home in Belton. Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton on Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Vann

Virgil Vaughn Vann, 88, of Lampasas died at his home on Jan. 25, 2024. Graveside services were held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Jan 28. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel had charge of arrangements. Vaughn was born on April 21, 1935, in Bell County to Leslie Lee Vann and Ora Viola (Carpenter) Vann.
