Mr. Akridge

The Rev. Paul Richard Akridge Jr., 62, died on Feb. 8, 2025, at his home in Lampasas, after many years of battling illness.A graveside service will be held at School Creek Cemetery on Feb. 16 at 3 p.m.Richard was born on Sept. 28, 1962, in Ashburn, Georgia to Paul and Anne (Pate) Akridge.

Richard R. Williams of Copperas Cove, age 90, died on Jan. 21, 2025, in Killeen.Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Arthur.

Nelda Faye Vann died on Feb. 2, 2025, surrounded by her family.A service will be held at First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas on Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. A visitation will be held at First Street Church of Christ at 10 a.m., with a luncheon at 11 a.m. All are invited to attend.

Mrs. Bledsoe

Sulynn Elliott Bledsoe, 74, died on Jan. 31, 2025, at her home in Lampasas.Memorial services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Feb. 7 at 2 p.m., with visitation an hour prior.Sulynn was born on May 1, 1950, in Iraan to Jimmie Franklin and Peggy Hale Elliott.

Mrs. Bunnell

Tana S. Bunnell, 75, of Kempner, died on Jan. 29, 2025.She was born in San Saba on Sept. 12, 1949 to parents Hugh and June Rainbolt.Tana grew up in San Saba for most of her life and graduated from Killeen High School in 1967.

Ms. Baxter

Mary Jane “MJ” Fretwell Baxter, 91, died at her home on Jan. 24, 2025.She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Texas with her family at a young age.At 17, she married and moved to Baxter Ranch in Bend, Texas, where she built a legacy of love, family and service.

Mrs. Walker

LaDell Walker, 70, of Lampasas died at her home on Jan. 28, 2025.Memorial services will be held at Adamsville Baptist Church on Feb. 1 at 11 a.m.Marcia LaDell Walker was born in Copperas Cove on Aug. 14, 1954, to Ardell and Viola (Adams) Stiles. She grew up in the Topsey area.
