Kempner Volunteer Fire Department’s biggest annual fundraiser has been postponed indefinitely.
Chief Dan Hause said the barbecue and auction that often takes place around early March could be held sometime in April, May or June.
Hause said with ongoing coronavirus cases, and considering the vulnerability of certain age groups, “I think it’s better for the community” to delay the event.
