NASA FELLOWSHIP
Sterling Wright has been awarded a NASA fellowship for a science project. His project will study microbes in the soil from an archaeological site in Romania.
By having a deeper understanding of how long-term climate patterns and human land-use affect microbial diversity, he hopes that his findings will help improve soil fertility and crop yield for farmers today.
Wright is a Ph.D. student in anthropology at Penn State University. He is a Lampasas High School graduate.
