Monte M. Allwein, 60, of Lampasas was sentenced Oct. 29 to three years’ deferred adjudication probation on a felony theft charge, according to a report by the Killeen Daily Herald.
The sentence was part of a plea bargain Allwein reached with Bell County Assistant District Attorney Fred Burns, who prosecuted the case. 27 th District Court Judge John Gauntt presided over the defendant’s plea hearing.
Allwein is a former swim coach at Shoemaker High School in Killeen.
In his arrest affdavit, he admitted using a school district-issued credit card to cover unauthorized personal expenses.
