Ajinomoto Foods, local developers at odds over proposed projects

‘We want Lampasas to grow, but it is going to be hard for the square to do any better than it is with them, the big business on the block.’

Area developer and Forward Lampasas member Michael Irvin believes Ajinomoto Foods needs to be a better neighbor.

Irvin, the owner of Irvin Steel Construction, has concerns with Ajinomoto’s overall appearance and its proposed $12 million wastewater pretreatment facility that would be located near the food manufacturing plant along the downtown square.
