Law enforcement center holds grand opening

By Monique Brand Lampasas Dispatch-Record About 250 people gathered at the Lampasas County Law Enforcement Center Wednesday afternoon for its grand opening. Guests included elected officials, county jail staff and members of surrounding police departments.

Governor announces mask mandate will end March 10

Gov. Greg Abbott announced Tuesday he is rescinding most of his earlier executive orders related to COVID-19. Effective March 10, all businesses in Texas may open to 100% capacity. Also on March 10, the new executive order will end the statewide mask mandate Abbott originally enacted.

COVID-19 vaccines set to arrive

Lampasas County is set to receive regular deliveries of COVID-19 vaccines, starting this week. Lampasas County will receive 200 vaccines a week from Bell County, County Judge Randy Hoyer said.
