New Christian school offers information on fees, positions

Up-and-coming Providence Christian Academy held a second informational meeting April 5 at First United Methodist Church. The school has announced it will open in Lampasas for the 2022-23 term.

Good Friday fundraiser to benefit 100 Club, first responders’ families

Area McDonald’s restaurants, including the Lampasas location, will host their annual Good Friday fundraiser to benefit the Hill Country 100 Club. A percentage of sales made from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Lometa City Council met April 4 for its monthly meeting. Councilwoman Marsha Laughlin’s letter of resignation and adoption of a revised employee handbook were items listed for action. Remote access to the meeting was not possible, however, due to internet service issues across Lampasas County.

The following arrests were reported to the Lampasas Dispatch Record by area law enforcement officials. APRIL 13 Jose Daniel Herrera, 32, of Hico was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 1 gram and less than 4 grams.
