Brush-chipping program set to begin in November

The city of Lampasas is set to begin its fall brushchipping program. Crews will collect brush that is no longer than four feet in length and set out at curbside during designated dates for each area of the city: • Oct. 31-Nov. 4 – northwest section of Lampasas.

Three injured in wreck on U.S. 281

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 281 North on Sunday morning. According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, the crash occurred a little over four miles north of Lampasas city limits at 11:54 a.m. Texas DPS Sgt.

Two suspects indicted in Lampasas store burglaries

Two suspects in a string of burglaries that occurred in February were indicted last week, Lampasas Police Department officials said. Cameron Bain, 20, and Miguel Zepeda, 21, both of Fairfield, were indicted Oct. 12 by a Lampasas County grand jury on burglary charges.

EARLY VOTING TO COMMENCE Early voting for the Nov. 8 General Election will begin Monday and be offered weekdays through Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lampasas County Election Office, 407 S. Pecan St. in downtown Lampasas. Extended early-voting hours are available Oct. 25 and Nov. 1 only.

Historical Commission to observe Archaeology Month

The Lampasas County Historical Commission will observe Archaeology Month in Texas on Oct. 24 with a program at 6:30 p.m. at the Lampasas Public Library. Boyce Cabaniss will offer a program as a follow-up to the one he presented last year that was well received.
