FILE PHOTO The Lampasas County Courthouse was packed for a public hearing in March about a proposal to designate acreage as a reinvestment zone so a solar farm project could qualify for tax abatements. The reinvestment zone was scrapped after a vote by the Commissioners Court. In May, the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees voted down a similar tax incentive plan for the Green Go solar farm after significant opposition from area residents.
