Bridge players to meet before Christmas

The Community Bridge group met Nov. 13 in the fellowship hall at First Presbyterian Church. Six tables enjoyed the afternoon play, with Carolyn Anderson of Copperas Cove taking first place. Joe England was second, and Margaret Oberender came in third. No one won the slam prize.

Lady Badgers lose steam in second half against Copperas Cove

The Lady Badger basketball team couldn’t put together full four quarters of solid play Tuesday night against Copperas Cove, as Lampasas fell 47-28. The girls started the game slowly, but they made a run in the second quarter to cut the Lady Bulldogs’ lead to three points late in the first half.

City of Kempner internet upgrades delayed

Delays on the completion of the Altitude ISP internet tower behind Kempner City Hall are expected to last into the new year. Originally, the internet tower was expected to be up and operational by the end of October.

Two-car crash on North Key sends one driver to hospital

A two-car crash at the intersection of North Key Avenue and East Avenue J on Tuesday morning sent a 78-year-old Lampasas County woman to the hospital. Agencies on the scene included the Lampasas Police Department, Lampasas Fire Department and Hamilton EMS. According to Patrol Lt.
