Museum names winners in Tree Decorating Contest

Decorated Christmas trees were on display last weekend at the Lampasas County Museum. Groups could enter a tree based on the theme “A Sesquicentennial Christmas,” in honor of the city’s 150th birthday. Named Best of Theme was the entry from Lampasas Association for the Arts.

Student to perform in ballet production

Lampasas Middle School student Hayden Harton will be dancing this year in the Harmony School of Creative Arts production of “The Gifts of Christmas.” The ballet combines elements of “The Nutcracker” with some of the more traditional Christmas songs the dancers perform to, such as “O Holy Night.

To help the public prepare for the April 2024 solar eclipse, the chamber of commerce will join with city and county officials in presenting a town hall Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at the former middle school cafeteria, 103 N. Western Ave.
