A woman was killed in Coryell County when she was struck by a vehicle while walking on the interstate in the earlymorning hours. Texas DPS Sgt. Bryan Washko said the collision occurred about 4:35 a.m. Friday on Interstate 14 near mile marker 279.

Shad Hill feels his time as a hired hand in Precinct 2 gives him the experience he needs to run for the Lampasas County Commissioners Court. Hill is challenging incumbent Lewis Bridges for the Precinct 3 seat. Hill has worked as a member of the Precinct 2 crew for nearly four years, he said.
