NWS officials: More sudden severe storms possible this weekend

A tornado warning and flash flood warning were issued for the county on Wednesday evening, and storms in the area resulted in heavy rains, strong winds and reports of damages to trees and buildings.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings.

Kempner to host Memorial Day ceremony

The city of Kempner will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday at the Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park at 10 a.m.Kempner Mayor John Wilkerson will offer a welcome, followed by an invocation from Municipal Judge Gene Isenhour.Posting of the colors will be provided by the U.S.

Early voting ends today in runoff elections for the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. Balloting is offered from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the county Election Office, 407 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas.

Cleanup begins after storms scatter debris on roadways

As storms once again raged through Lampasas County, Adamsville and the surrounding area were hit hard again Wednesday. Here, Jess McCabe works to remove a large tree limb from the roadway along County Road 2527.
