Suspension bridge closed as water rises

HOP offers free microtransit fares for July

For the remainder of July, the Hill Country Transit District will offer residents free microtransit rides on “the HOP” bus within Lampasas city limits in an effort to boost ridership.

Rising water forces some residents from their homes

Fast-rising waters fueled by heavy rains that pounded the city flooded portions of northeast Lampasas early Saturday morning, forcing about a dozen residents from their homes.In some cases, people sought refuge on their rooftops.

Threshold stone laid at courthouse entrance

Mezger Stone wrapped up its work on the county courthouse by installing a new step stone near the south entrance to the building on June 30. Currently, RKJ Construction is continuing restoration efforts on the upstairs windows.
