The Lampasas Animal Shelter reported last week that a skunk found in the 6000 block of FM 1715 had tested positive for rabies.
Shelter officials remind the public to be watchful and to report to the county animal control officer any animals that are acting strangely.
Also, residents should verify that the rabies vaccinations on pets is current.
