The Lampasas County Museum hosted a ceremony Friday to begin a year of celebrating Lampasas’ sesquicentennial.
Museum board president Boyce Cabaniss opened the event by introducing Mayor TJ Monroe and reminding attendees to stay for refreshments that included Blue Bell ice cream. Cabaniss said he felt ice cream was necessary, as Lampasas had one of the first creameries in Texas.
