FM 1403 between Nix and Lometa reopened in late October after Lampasas County crews in Precinct 2 made repairs to a bridge damaged in September floods. Commissioner Jamie Smart said work on the bridge “is not finished, but we had [to] get the road open.” Smart hopes to complete repairs on FM 1403 by the end of the month.
