According to Lampasas County Historical Commission member Boyce Cabaniss, recent findings may indicate a substantial human presence in the area, possibly dating back 20,000 years, contradicting previous estimates. Cabaniss led an archaeology presentation at the Lampasas Public Library on Oct. 24 in honor of Archaeology Month in Texas.
