The Hill Country Soil & Water Conservation District recently donated a native pollinator wildflower seed mix to Cooper Spring Nature Park to help enhance the native plant community and improve the diversity of wildlife habitat.

Vision Lampasas’ annual Wild West Casino Night has been set for Feb. 18 at the Lampasas County Show Barn. A major fundraiser for the year, Casino Night is hosted by Vision Lampasas, Lampasas Lions Club and Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce. Starting at 5:30 p.m.
The family of W. Lee Vann was recognized at the Capitol in Austin for Vann’s devotion to his family, his work ethic, and his appreciation and support for agriculture. Vann honored posthumously for lifetime service to agriculture

W. Lee Vann was honored posthumously on Nov. 21, 2022 – Texas Agriculture Memorial Day – at the Texas Capitol. One of 17 honored, Vann was remembered for his lifetime of service to agriculture.

New card game promotes coming together through conversation

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, free time was in abundance. For Erin Montgomery, the pause in time allowed her to craft a new conversation card game titled “SCARS.” Conversation card games are simple. Cards pose a question, and those involved answer the specific card.
