Lunar eclipse to be visible in Central Texas

    This week will bring yet another astronomical phenomenon, on the heels of the recent Perseids meteor shower that occurred earlier in August.

    A partial lunar eclipse will take place Thursday night through the very early morning Friday. About 93% of the moon will be covered by Earth’s shadow at the peak of the eclipse, which will take place around 11:27 p.m.
