Lampasas police encourage safety measures as school year begins

With the opening of the Lampasas Independent School District academic year, the Lampasas Police Department has given guidance for back-to-school safety.
Parents should follow the traffic safety plans each school has set up to protect students during pick-up and drop-off times, officials advised.
Taylor Creek Elementary has introduced a new pick-up/drop-off procedure for this year, officials said.
