The prolonged hard freeze during last month’s winter storm left the Lampasas High School greenhouse without heat for extended periods of time, and few plants survived.
As a result, the plant sale that had been planned for March 12 will not take place.
Students understood that the weatherrelated loss of plants “is part of the agriculture industry,” a post on the Lampasas FFA Facebook page stated.
