Lampasas tennis team wins in dominant fashion once again

Last Friday, the tennis team hit the road to Ellison, but the match was cut short by some unexpected lightning. “The kids had been playing for about two hours, and we got a warning of lightning within 10 miles of us,” head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Lampasas High School’s Class of 2021 valedictorian is Addison McDonald. This year’s salutatorian is Cole Wheeler. Commencement for the Class of 2021 is scheduled May 21 at 7:30 p.m. on the turf field at the high school.

Girls' golf team takes third at state after round two is cut short

The Lady Badger golf team finished two strokes away from the state title after Day 2 was cut short during the final stretch due to reports of lightning in the area. Lampasas was third with a 27-hole score of 317-160--477.

Burkburnett eliminates Lampasas from baseball playoffs

Burkburnett beat Lampasas 11-6 on Saturday to sweep the best-of-three baseball playoff series. Burkburnett defeated the Badgers 5-3 in the game one, which was Friday.

  Cade White jumped 20 feet, 6 ¼ inches to finish ninth out of nine at the 4A boys’ long jump at state. He had earned a silver medal at regionals -- with his personal best (22’0.25”) -- and a gold at area, but tweaked his knee on the first jump at state on Thursday.
