The Lady Badger softball team used explosive offense to beat Jarrell Tuesday night in what was a must-win district game on the road.The 12-10 victory was necessary to keep Lampasas in the hunt for a playoff spot as the girls gear up for their final four district games of the season.

Lampasas tennis team faces tough competition in Fredericksburg

The tennis team traveled to Fredericksburg last Friday to compete in a tournament with high schools that ranged from 1A to 6A size.After a rain delay in the morning, the competition got started around 1 p.m. and finished about 8:15 p.m., according to head coach Kenneth Peiser.

The Lampasas seventhand eighth-grade girls’ track teams faced some quality competition this week when they raced in Lago Vista at the district track meet.The LMS seventhgrade team placed fourth overall with 88 points.

Hailey Palmer ran the 100-meter dash and competed on relay teams for the Lady Badgers at the district meet in Jarrell. She and the rest of the Lady Badgers are looking to reach the area meet, also to be held in Jarrell.
