Lampasas tennis players bring home multiple medals

The varsity tennis team played at Temple last Friday, with matches against Robinson, Temple and Belton.Each player got three matches and played two of three sets.“They get a lot of play in and get an example of what district will be,” Lampasas head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Junior high soccer teams open seasons

Last week, both the boys’ and girls’ middle school soccer teams opened their seasons with games against Burnet.The boys’ game ended in a 2-2 draw after Lampasas came from down 2-0. The team found goals by Jedidiah Haverlah and Julian Healy in the final 15 minutes of the match.

Softball team suffers loss to Gateway

The Lady Badger softball team hit the road last Friday for a tough matchup against the Gateway Lady Gators. Things didn’t go their way, as the Lady Badgers lost 10-0 in five innings.Lampasas was outmatched by Gateway pitching and committed a few errors that led to Lady Gator runs.

Softball team suffers loss to Taylor

The Lady Badger softball team fell one run short in a final-inning comeback effort against the Taylor Lady Ducks on Tuesday night.Lampasas lost the game 9-8 after the team entered the top of the seventh inning with a 5-4 lead over Taylor, looking to close out the win.
