The Badger basketball team played in its final road tournament of the season over the weekend in Childress.Over the course of four games, Lampasas finished 3-1 with wins over San Angelo Lake View, Iowa Park and Wellington, and a tough loss to Idalou.

The high school wrestling season officially has started. Lampasas participated in its first tournament last week in Belton, but early next week will be the Badgers’ home meet on Wednesday.That will follow a wrestling meet in Burleson this Saturday.The Lampasas meet will be a tricompetition.

A fourth-place finish out of 12 varsity teams in the Gold Bracket of the Childress tournament was a good showing for the Lady Badger basketball team, as they were tested by some very good opponents last weekend.

Both Lometa basketball teams participated in their home tournament over the weekend, and both finished fourth overall.The Hornets and Lady Hornets each had one player represented in the All-Tournament team, as Phoenix Jones and Pablo Carbajal received the honor.
