Seventh inning causes trouble for Lady Badgers against Burnet

The Lady Badgers hosted the Burnet Bulldogs on Tuesday night, and they played a very tight softball game before giving up six runs in the top of the seventh inning to lose 9-0. Harley Wakeman was in the circle for Lampasas through the first six innings.

Burnet girls take down Lady Badgers in soccer

The Lady Badgers played their final home soccer match of the year Tuesday against Burnet. The score was 3-0 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs. The Lampasas girls have continued to get better as the season progressed, and that was evident in this rematch.

The Badger soccer team continues to fight hard in tough competition, although Lampasas came up just short Tuesday night, losing 2-1 to Burnet on the road. KJ Stephens converted from the penalty spot for the Badgers’ only goal, but the Bulldogs were able to convert one more goal.

Greens to be aerated at Hancock Park

The greens at Hancock Park Golf Course are going to be aerated early next month, causing the course to be closed to the public on April 4 and April 5. In addition to the aeration, the greens will also be sanded during this two-day period.

Badgers earn gritty district win over Gatesville

The Badger soccer team played hard against Gatesville on Friday and earned a tough 2-0 win in the final home game of the season. Scoring goals were Josiah Toeaina and Ruger Miserlian. The assists came from Miserlian and Keaton Black.

Tennis duo wins second tournament in a row

Kailr Clements and Abby Valdez won the title at a tournament in Brownwood late last week for their second straight first-place finish. “Their semi's match against Snyder was a good tight match,” head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Softball picks up one win in weekend tournament

The Lady Badgers played in both Salado and Georgetown over the weekend in tournament action, and they picked up one win on Thursday. The girls were able to learn a lot about themselves in losses on Friday and Saturday, according to the coach. The Lady Badgers won 9-8 over Troy on Thursday.
