Lady Badgers show a lot of fight but come up just short against Glen Rose

The Lady Badgers took on a very good Glen Rose softball team Friday, looking to finish the first half of district play with an unbeaten record. The eventual 15-12 loss for the Lady Badgers was a bit of a heartbreaker because Lampasas pitchers gave up only six earned runs.

Softball team tops Stephenville with big eighth inning

The Lady Badgers won a wild game in Stephenville on Tuesday to move to 3-0 in district action. The contest took an extra inning after Stephenville scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 15-15. The Lady Badgers were able to respond after giving up the lead.

Lady Badgers take district golf championship; boys finish second

The Lady Badgers won the district golf tournament, played Monday and Tuesday, with a total score of 685. The girls shot 342 the first day and 343 the second day.

Badgers come up short against Gatesville at home

The Badgers hosted the Gatesville Hornets on Tuesday night, when they lost 15-4 in five innings. Lampasas struggled with Lampasas struggled with errors defensively and gave up several walks. Hit-bypitch problems put several batters on base as well.

Tennis duo are district champs and headed back to regionals

Kailr Clements and Abby Valdez will be back at the regional tennis competition for the second year in a row after being crowned district champions Wednesday in Brownwood. The duo won their first doubles match 6-2, 6-3, then played in the semifinals and won 6-2, 6-3.

The Lady Badgers hosted the Brownwood Lady Lions Friday for their second district contest of the season. Lampasas won 9-8 after getting out of a jam with the tying run on third base in the top of the seventh inning.
