Offense can’t get going in loss to Stephenville

A solid pitching and defensive performance was not enough for the Lady Badgers Thursday night, as they suffered a 2-0 loss to Stephenville at home. Caitlyn Sanguinet was very good in the circle for Lampasas. She went the full seven innings and struck out 15 batters.

Two Badgers, two Lady Badgers compete at tennis regionals

Two different tennis duos traveled with their head coach, Kenneth Peiser, to Lubbock last week to compete at the regional tournament. Abby Valdez/Kailr Clements won district a couple of weeks ago to make it to the regional tourney in Lubbock.

Badgers struggle in loss against Stephenville ace

The Badgers traveled to Stephenville last Thursday, looking to take the season series from the Yellowjackets after beating them at home April 12. Stephenville ace Reece Elston was dominant on the mound, however, and the Badgers picked up only one hit.

Track team to send multiple competitors to area meet

The Badger and Lady Badger track teams traveled to Gatesville on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the district track meet. The Lady Badgers finished fifth overall, and the Badgers placed fourth as a team.

Badgers use four-run fifth to knock off district leader

The Lampasas baseball team hosted the Stephenville Yellow Jackets Tuesday night. After scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Badgers beat the district leaders 5-3. Head coach Chance Evans spoke about what went right for the Badgers in that inning.

Lady Badgers come back late to beat Brownwood

The Lady Badgers came out of the gate slowly, playing on the road Tuesday against Brownwood. But they bounced back in a major way in the seventh inning, scoring four runs to win 8-6.
