Badgers win final game, secure at least a play-in for the postseason

The Badgers won a tight, one-run game over Glen Rose at home on Friday which guaranteed them a chance to make the playoffs. The 5-4 win over the Tigers means the Badgers will at least have a playin game after the regular season. That extra contest will determine which team makes the playoffs.

Boys’ and girls’ soccer teams honored at banquets

The Badger and Lady Badger soccer teams held individual banquets last week to honor players after their seasons concluded. For the Lady Badgers, Bella Lindsey was named the Offensive MVP after leading the team in scoring. The Defensive MVP was Kailyn Cisneros.

Lampasas athletes qualify for regional track meet

The Badgers and Lady Badgers traveled to Brownwood last Friday for the area track meet, and some of those competitors will continue on to the regional meet. Nyla Long finished fourth in the 3200-meter run, beating fellow Lady Badger Abby Valdez by 0.

Badgers lose late in big game against Glen Rose

The Badgers traveled to Glen Rose Tuesday night to take on the Tigers in a game that had big playoff implications. After seven competitive innings, Lampasas gave up a run in the bottom of the seventh to lose 5-4.

Lady Badgers fall in regular-season finale; playoffs up next

The Lady Badgers traveled to Glen Rose Tuesday night for their regular-season finale, and they came up just short but played a competitive game against the district champions. The final score was 5-2. The loss puts the Lady Badgers at 5-3 in district, and currently in second place.

Boys and girls compete in middle school soccer

The Lampasas Middle School boys’ soccer team and girls’ soccer team both took on Taylor in games played Monday. The boys came away with a 2-0 win, and the girls lost 3-0. Here is how head coach Edward Gold described the boys’ action.
