Badger lifters honored at annual banquet

The Badger and Lady Badger powerlifting teams were honored at their banquet in late April. The two lifters who made it all the way to the state competition were the recipients for the only team award, the Battlin’ Badger. Westen Reid and Brianna Miller both received the recognition.

Lady Badgers win bi-district title with 2-0 sweep over Graham

The Lady Badgers beat the Graham Lady Blues on both Thursday and Friday nights to complete the 2-0 sweep in the bi-district round of the playoffs. They closed it out with a 6-1 win in Graham on Friday.

Badgers lose warm-up game to Llano; postseason next

The Badger baseball team traveled to Llano Tuesday to take on the Yellowjackets in a warm-up game for either the play-in tournament this weekend or the upcoming playoff series. Lampasas lost 11-1 in five innings, but the team was able to throw some arms that had not pitched in awhile.

Middle school golf wins Salado tourney

The Lampasas Middle School boys’ golf team placed first at Salado with a score of 199. Hagan Davis was first individually with a score of 44. The LMS girls’ team also finished first with a score of 237.

Lampasas girls finish in a draw with Jarrell

The Lady Badger middle school soccer team finished in a 0-0 draw with the Jarrell Lady Cougars on Monday. “Toward the end of the game, we were knocking on the door and had many opportunities to score, but we just couldn't put one in the back of the net,” head coach Nathaniel Brayton said.

Lady Badger heading to state golf tournament next month

The Lampasas golf teams were in Lubbock last week for the regional tournament, and one Lady Badger will continue her season at the state tournament next month. Shaylee Wolfe shot a 77 in the first round and 72 in the second round to finish at 149 and tied for second.

Four Hornet athletes qualify for regional track meet

The Hornets competed in the area track meet last week in Blanket. Four competitors finished in the top four of their events to advance to regionals. Sierra Tower captured first place in discus, winning the region with a throw of 106’.25”.
