Lady Badgers compete well against 6A Harker Heights

The Lady Badgers hosted Harker Heights for their volleyball homeopener on Tuesday. Despite coming up short and losing in three sets, the Lady Badgers showed why they are looking to have some success this season. The final score was 22-25, 14-25, 15-25.

Badger tennis wins in Cove to start season 2-0

The Lampasas tennis team traveled to Copperas Cove on Tuesday for its second match of the fall season and came away with a 13-6 win. The team started by winning five of the seven doubles matches. That gave Lampasas a strong lead at 5-2.

Lampasas cheer squad receives honors at summer camp

Lampasas High School cheer squads attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp in July at Angelo State University. They received several awards and honors during the camp.

Badgers look for continued improvement in second scrimmage

With the regular season just around the corner, the Badgers worked toward improvement and getting themselves into football shape when they scrimmaged Brownwood at home Thursday evening.

Lampasas tennis wins first match of season against Killeen

The Badger and Lady Badger tennis teams traveled to Killeen Friday for their first matches of the new season. Lampasas got off to a hot start in doubles, winning six of the seven matches to take a 6-1 lead going into singles competition.

Lady Badgers win silver bracket championship at Cameron Tournament

An undefeated Saturday led to the Lady Badgers winning the silver bracket in the Cameron varsity volleyball tournament that took place Thursday and Saturday. In that 3-0 stretch, the Lady Badgers beat the Cameron junior varsity 25-17, 25-18; Granger 25-18, 25-22; and Mumford 25-18, 23-25, 25-14.

Lady Hornets add new volleyball team

Lometa High School’s volleyball team is in its first year, and with that comes growing pains for the program. “You know, day one we had three girls who could hit the ball over the net,” head coach Gabe Henry said.

Lady Badgers go 1-1 in games earlier this week

The Lady Badgers took on the Salado Lady Eagles and the McGregor Lady Bulldogs in game action Monday and Tuesday this week. Lampasas split the two matches, losing to Salado in three sets and beating McGregor in five sets. The final score against Salado on Monday was 25-16, 25-15, 25-12.
