Basketball team starts season with win over Eastside Memorial

The Badger basketball season officially is underway after a win at home against Eastside Memorial out of Austin. The Badgers held onto their lead late to win 7564 over the Panthers after having to fight back from an early deficit.

The Badgers came out of their tunnel one last time in the Alamodome for the first round of the playoffs. David Flores gave everything he had for the Badgers all year up until his very last snap. He had his helmet ripped off during the playoff game and continued to push for the goal line.

Jett Walker was a standout freshman for the Badgers this season, and he has a bright future ahead of him. Landon Richardson will be back for one more season kicking for the Badgers.

Middle school girls’ basketball starts season with sweep of Lago Vista

The Lampasas Middle School Lady Badger basketball teams began their seasons with four wins over Lago Vista. The seventh-grade “A” team won 42-17.

Badgers season comes to an end after close battle with Somerset

The Badgers struggled in the second half again Friday night in the bi-district round of the playoffs. They were unable to score and one second half touchdown by the Bulldogs was enough for them to secure a 27-17 win and punch their ticket to the second round.

Freshman, junior varsity football seasons have come to an end

After successful seasons for both the freshman and junior varsity football teams, the Lampasas JV finished as district champs at 8-1-1 (4-0-1) with only one loss, and the freshmen went 7-3 (3-2). The junior varsity stat leaders were as follows.

The Badgers will take on Somerset in the first round of the playoffs tonight at 7:30 p.m. David Flores will lead the Badger offense against Somerset tonight.

The Lampasas flag will fly at least one more time in the bi-district round of the playoffs. Jett Walker has had a solid year as a freshman with the varsity team. He has a bright future with the Badgers.
