The boys’ basketball team will be at home tonight against the Brady Bulldogs, and the girls will be on the road against Copperas Cove before each team travels to separate tournaments from Thursday through Saturday.

Badgers go 1-1 in two road games before Thanksgiving break

The Badgers spent Monday and Tuesday on the road playing two games before they took off the rest of the week for the Thanksgiving break. First, they went to Austin to play LASA. Lampasas came from behind and used a strong defensive fourth quarter to come out on top 53-50.

Lampasas girls’ basketball splits road games

The Lady Badgers spent the week traveling to Elgin and Round Rock for their final two games before the Thanksgiving holiday. On Monday against Elgin, the Lady Badgers were dominant. They took the win 56-35.

Both Lometa basketball teams win their opening games

Lometa basketball season is in full swing, and both varsity teams notched wins in the last two weeks. Boys’ basketball started 2-0, while the girls split their first matchups. Both teams played squads from Evant and Three-Way High School for the first full week of competition for the teams.

The Lady Badger basketball team traveled to its most recent tournament in Austin last week with a 4-4 record. The girls left as tournament champions and now boast an 10-4 overall record. The Lady Badgers went 6-0 in the tournament.

The Lampasas Middle School girls’ teams had another great night and a clean sweep over Burnet last week. Basketball scores were as follows. The LMS 7A team won 3622. Top scorers were Kari Kepler with 14 points, and Lainey Dixon with eight.
