Lady Badgers struggle in match against 6A Harker Heights

The Lady Badger volleyball team traveled to Harker Heights Tuesday night for a non-district match against the 6A Lady Knights, and they struggled against a tough opponent. Lampasas lost in straight sets, 10-25, 12-25, 13-25.

Lampasas cheerleaders bring home awards from camp

Last month, varsity and junior varsity cheer teams from across the state went to UCA Cheer Camp at Angelo State University. Lampasas received the Top Banana recognition for being the most spirited group in attendance and also brought home several other awards.

Badgers take the field for first time in 2023

Badger football is officially back, as Lampasas played host to Salado for the first scrimmage of the season last Friday on Badger Field.

Lady Badgers compete in first volleyball tournament of the season

The Lady Badger volleyball team spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Austin for the first tournament of the season. Forty-two teams participated in the tournament, ranging from 3A to 6A schools. Pool play matches took place on Thursday and Friday, and the Lampasas girls finished 2-3 overall.

Tennis team wins back-to-back matches last week

The Lampasas tennis team played two matches, one on Thursday and one on Friday, to finish off last week, and they won both matches. First, they played Marble Falls, winning 12-7. Tyler Ecker/Clyde Ashfield lost the first doubles match.

Lady Badgers split first two games of the season

The Lampasas Lady Badger volleyball team has begun the 2023 season, with two games played earlier this week. The girls picked up a win at home over McGregor and then lost on the road against Taylor.

Tennis season underway, as first matches have taken place

The Badger tennis team played host to Fredericksburg on Wednesday morning, and Lampasas played Marble Falls at home on Thursday. Today, the team will compete against Killeen High School.

High jumper competes at finals in Junior Olympics

The AAU Junior Olympics were held from July 29 through Aug. 5 in Des Moines, Iowa, where a young Badger finished seventh in the high jump against 16 competitors from across the country. Vion Miller is 9 years old.
