Badgers finish 1-2 in weekend hoops showcase

The Badgers hosted three other teams Saturday in a four-team basketball shootout, and they finished 1-2 on the day. Games were played against Jarrell, Little River Academy and Austin Magic AAU. In game one, Lampasas lost 47-45 to Jarrell.

Lampasas to host youth golf camp next month

Youth from first grade through middle school will be able to participate in a golf camp next month. Three different sessions will be offered July 1011 for different levels of golfers. The beginner session will be from 8-9:30 a.m. both days. The intermediate session will run from 10-11:30 a.m.

Summer 7-on-7 football underway for the Badgers

The Badgers welcomed the Gatesville Hornets to the Lampasas High School stadium for the first week of summer 7-on-7 competition between the two teams. The matchups will take place each Tuesday in June. The field was split in half, and two different groups competed in 7-on-7 at the same time.

Lampasas basketball competing in two different summer leagues

The Badgers traveled to Hamilton Monday for their first set of summer league basketball games. They took on Comanche and won 62-48, and then played Hamilton and won 64-47. Individual points from those two games were not kept.

The month of June is chock full of scramble tournaments at Hancock Park Golf Course. That started with the Badger Golf fundraiser, which was a three-person scramble on Saturday.

Lampasas off-season SWAT training program begins

The Speed Weight and Agility Training program that coaches encourage all Lampasas athletes -- middle school and high school -- to participate in began Monday and will run into July. Workouts will be from 8-10 a.m.
