Are the Badgers becoming a second-half team in 2023? A shutout in the final 24 minutes against the Taylor Ducks last Friday gave Lampasas a 43-24 win and a 2-0 district record.

The Badger football team started district play last week with a 35-14 win over Burnet. They will look to keep the ball rolling when they hit the road tonight to take on the Taylor Ducks.

Badger tennis team wins bi-district round of playoffs

The tennis team traveled to Granbury Tuesday morning to play Krum. Lampasas left that match as bi-district champions with a 10-9 win. The Badgers got revenge on Krum after losing to the school in the playoffs last season.

The Lady Badger volleyball team competed against Gateway, the number-one team in District 24-4A, on Tuesday night. Lampasas showed up with fire, playing some of the team’s most inspired volleyball for large parts of the match.

Boys’ cross country team qualifies for regional meet

The Lampasas cross country teams competed in the District 24-4A meet in Marble Falls last week. The varsity boys qualified as a team for regionals by finishing in third behind Burnet and Marble Falls. They will compete in Huntsville on Oct. 24.
