Badgers struggle in tough loss to Davenport

The Badgers played in their most important game of the season Friday against the Davenport Wolves, and they came up short, losing 56-21. Lampasas was stormed by the Wolves early. The Badgers gave up a touchdown inside the first minute of the game, and they were down 21-0 in the first quarter.

Lady Badgers play hard in their best district match of season

The Lady Badger volleyball team played its best district game of the season last Friday. The girls came up short of the win, losing 3-1 to the Jarrell Lady Cougars, but they won the second set and were on the verge of winning the third. The final score was 15-25, 26-24, 22-25, 17-25.

Unbeatens to clash when the Badgers host Davenport

Both the Lampasas Badgers and the Davenport Wolves have won their first two district games. Each team is on track to win the district championship at the end of the regular season, but they stand in each other’s way tonight, as Lampasas will host the Wolves at Badger Field.

Middle School football competes against Taylor last week

The Lampasas Middle School football teams took on the Taylor Ducks, and they competed well. The seventh-grade “A” team lost to Taylor by a score of 30-0. Both LMS offensive and defensive units showed flashes of strong play but could not sustain success over the course of drives.

Middle school girls go 3-1 against Jarrell

The Lady Badgers’ middle school teams traveled to Jarrell on Monday, and they came back with a 3-1 record. “All of the coaches are extremely proud of the effort and skill that was shown in the games,” Lampasas Middle School volleyball coach Sarah Leopold said.

Lampasas tennis falls in area playoff match

The Lampasas tennis team traveled to Snyder last week to play the Hereford Whitefaces in the area round of the playoffs. Hereford finished fourth in its district, and was the state champion a few years ago.
