A win and a second-place finish highlight golf team’s early tournaments

The Lampasas golf teams have played in two tournaments so far this fall season. On Sept. 22-23, the Badger golf teams competed in the Glen Rose Invitational at Squaw Valley. The Lady Badgers finished second in the seven-team field with scores of 315-331.

Lometa gets off to a difficult start in district play

District play saw a tough start for the Lometa Hornets on Friday, as the team lost 74-28 at the hands of the Jonesboro Eagles. Despite an even turnover battle, Lometa was unable to maintain offensive consistency, resulting in the lopsided final score.

Badgers win latest battle with rival Burnet

The Badgers rode a dominant second half to their fifth victory of the season and their first district win in 2023. The 35-14 win over Burnet came on the heels of a dominant 28-7 second half, after going into the locker room tied at 7-7 in the rivalry game.
