Badgers struggle in first loss of season to Austin LASA

A slow start put the Badgers behind early, as they trailed 13-6 at the end of the first quarter Saturday. Then they struggled and were outscored in the second half, and lost 64-50 to Austin LASA. Lampasas head coach Aaron Nuckles said the team didn’t play very well in the game.

Hornets and Lady Hornets pick up wins

Last Monday, the Lady Hornet basketball team picked up its fourth win of the season with a one-point victory over Priddy, 36-35. Outscoring Priddy 9-3 in the fourth quarter was the difference in the game. Star Davila led the Lady Hornets in scoring with 13 points.

Middle school soccer players travel across area to compete

A team of sixth- and seventh-grade soccer players, largely from Lampasas with a couple from Lometa and one from Burnet, have been traveling around the area to compete throughout the year.

Girls’ basketball team plays at Hamilton tournament

The Lady Badger basketball team picked up another win during the Hamilton tournament last weekend. The girls were able to beat McGregor 40-35, and they lost to Brownwood 46-29 to split their first two games last Thursday.
