Badgers vs. Coyotes, round two

The Badger football team dispatched the Uvalde Coyotes last week in the bi-district round of the playoffs. Now they will get a crack at the Alice Coyotes in round two of the Texas high school football playoffs. Alice finished the regular season 8-2 overall and 6-0 in District 16-4A, Division I.

The Lady Badger basketball team struggled in the home opener against a Top 10 stateranked 5A team in Leander Glenn. Lampasas lost 69-22 after getting out to a really slow start.

The Lometa Lady Hornets dominated Three Way School in their third game of the season, coming away with a 48-11 win. The Lady Hornets jumped out to a 10-3 lead after the first quarter, but they really separated in the second eight minutes and moved ahead 26-5 by halftime.

The first-round playoff game between the Lampasas Badgers and the Uvalde Coyotes could not have gone much better for Lampasas. The 52-0 win came on the heels of the Badgers’ best four quarters of football this season.

The Lady Badger basketball team picked up its first win of the season during the Leander Rouse tournament last weekend. On Thursday, the Lady Badgers split their two games against Boerne Champion and Dripping Springs. The first win came against Dripping Springs, 53-48.
