Lometa girls’ basketball wins consolation at Zephyr tournament

The Lometa girls won the consolation game in the Zephyr basketball tournament earlier this month. In the first game of the tournament, the Lady Hornets lost 56-13 to a very good May team. Jennifer Valenzuela was injured and out for the tournament.

The Badger basketball team played host to a very good Whitney team Friday night and emerged victorious 61-53. The Wildcats went several rounds deep into the playoffs last year, and their lineup was full of athletes who made things difficult on the court for the Badgers.

Girls’ basketball picks up dominant victories over Florence

The Lady Badger basketball team traveled to Florence last Friday night for a matchup with the Lady Buffaloes. They emerged victorious in dominant fashion, winning 60-13. Addison Borchardt once again led the way in scoring with 20 points. Mia Mulcahy also was in double figures with 14.

Middle school basketball teams head into Christmas break after several wins over Marble Falls

The Lampasas Middle School basketball teams took on Marble Falls last week in their final contests before the Christmas vacation. They emerged with a 6-2 record over the eight games played. The LMS girls’ seventh-grade “B” team won 21-15.
