The Lometa Hornet basketball team scratched and clawed its way to a first-round playoff win Monday night over Aquilla.After trailing for most of the game, Lometa fought its way back to take the lead with less than a minute to go.

Lady Badger soccer loses tough match to Academy

On Tuesday, the girls’ soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss to Academy at home.The Lady Badgers played well in moments during the game but didn’t keep up the consistency. The little things cost them, according to head coach Kim Burnside.

Boys’ soccer team wins big over Academy

There were clean sheets kept by both the Lampasas junior varsity and varsity boys’ soccer teams when they hosted Academy on Tuesday. The Badger varsity took care of business in a 5-0 win, and the JV dominated in an 8-0 win.

Badger baseball has success at first tournament

Over the weekend, the Badger baseball team went to Fredericksburg for their first tournament of the season.Lampasas finished the tournament 2-1-1. The Badgers earned a 12-2 win over Big Spring, a 9-5 win over Fredericksburg, a 9-9 tie with Austin McCallum and had a 5-2 loss to Bracken Christian.
