The Badger basketball team ran into a buzzsaw last Friday night, competing against the Navasota Rattlers. The area round of the playoffs took place in Thrall.The Badgers lost 76-47 in a game in which they fell behind early and never could make up that ground.

Badgers scratch Cougars for first-round playoff win

The Badger basketball team has been chasing a first-round playoff win for the past three years. That goal was achieved Tuesday night in Academy with a 64-60 Lampasas win over the China Spring Cougars.The Badgers got out to a quick start in the game, but then hit an offensive lull.

Baseball team beats Copperas Cove in 11 innings

On Monday, the Badger baseball team scored four runs in the top of the 11th inning to beat the Copperas Cove Bulldogs 7-3.In the final inning, Drew Davis led off with a double. He was followed by Calvin Phelps and Kade Landry who both drew walks.

Lady Badger basketball players honored with district awards

The official All-District awards for the Lady Badger basketball district have been announced, and multiple players were named in the awards.The entire varsity team received Academic All-District recognition to honor their work in the classroom along with their efforts on the court.

Softball thumps Llano in five innings

The Lady Badger softball team continued its dominant offense, as the girls put up 16 runs in five innings to beat Llano 16-0 on Monday.Freshman Gia Grasso drove in five runs on three hits to lead the Lady Badgers. She homered in the second inning, driving in two runs.
