Boys’ soccer team ties Brownwood but loses on penalty kicks

The Badger soccer team suffered a tough loss to the district-leading Brownwood Lions on the road Friday.After the full 80 minutes of play, the two teams were deadlocked at 1-1 and went on to penalty kicks.

Girls basketball All-District awards announced

Adalya White received Second Team All-District honors for her freshman season in Lampasas. The rest of the All-District recognitions will be available in Friday’s edition of the Dispatch Record. The Lady Badgers ended their season in the bi-district round of the playoffs last week.

Softball team wins four of five games at Cameron Yoe tournament

This past weekend, the Lady Badger softball team went 4-1 at the Cameron Yoe tournament.The team beat Cedar Creek 6-3, beat Bartlett 19-3, beat Cameron Yoe 6-1 and beat Killeen 18-1. The Lady Badgers’ only loss of the weekend was to Caldwell in a 4-0 defeat.The team posted a batting average of .

Badger basketball playing China Spring in bi-district round tonight

Beau Patterson and the Badger basketball team are set to play China Spring in the bi-district round of the playoffs tonight. The game will be played in Little River-Academy at 8 p.m. In these playoffs, the Badgers will look to reach at least the third round for the first time since 2000.

Lampasas tennis plays three other teams in home event

Tuesday night was one that will be remembered in the history of Lampasas basketball as a group of young Badgers, most of whom have been playing together for years, finally reached the top of the mountain and won a district championship.

The Lampasas baseball team struggled with errors that ultimately led to a defeat in the seasonopener at Gatesville on Monday afternoon.The Badgers lost 3-2 to the Hornets after giving up three unearned runs on three errors.Calvin Phelps pitched the full seven innings.

Girls’ basketball season ends with loss to Waco La Vega

The Lady Badger basketball team saw its season come to an end Monday night with a 69-26 loss to state-ranked Waco La Vega in the bi-district round of the playoffs.The Lady Badgers struggled with the constant pressure and speed of the Lady Pirates which forced a lot of Lampasas turnovers.

Softball team wins over Georgetown East View

The Lady Badger softball team picked up another win over a bigger program, as the girls topped Georgetown East View on Tuesday night at home.Led by Brooklyn Farmer who struck out 12 opposing hitters in the circle and went 3-4 at the plate -- the Lady Badgers won 5-3.
