Badger track teams perform well at meet in Taylor

Last Thursday, the Lampasas High School boys’ and girls’ track teams competed in Taylor in the fourth meet of the season. Many different competitors medaled in their event.On the boys’ side, the Badgers started with two medals in the 100-meter dash, as Aaron Everts placed second with a time of 11.

Tennis team plays in tough tournament at Vista Ridge

The varsity tennis team went to a tournament at Vista Ridge last week along with 19 other teams to compete against predominantly bigger Austin-area schools. “The kids were able to get three matches in today and were only rained on once,” Lampasas head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Girls’ soccer season comes to an end after loss to Academy

The Lady Badger soccer team closed out the regular season last Friday with a loss to Academy. Lampasas fell 3-0.The young team had a tough season in terms of results, but the Lady Badgers played with enthusiasm in every game, and they continued to grow under new head coach Liz Duran.

Tuesday night opened the district schedule for the Lampasas baseball team, and the Badgers are now 1-0. They beat Marble Falls 2-1 behind a great pitching performance from JT Posten, who gave up only one run over the full seven innings of work.The Badgers struggled to push runs across.
