Lady Badgers run-rule Marble Falls for 2-0 district start

An 11-1 win after five innings against Marble Falls gave the Lady Badgers a second district win in as many games.The Lady Badgers were without their head coach on Tuesday night, as Blakeli Brookreson was on maternity leave.

One tough inning causes Badgers to fall to Jarrell

The Badger baseball team played more than five innings of very good baseball on Thursday. They were leading 2-1 in the fifth on the strength of a great pitching performance from JT Posten and a two-run homer by Jonas Andersen.Unfortunately, the sixth inning was filled with miscues by the Badgers.

Four girls compete at state powerlifting meet

On Friday, four Lady Badgers traveled to Frisco to compete at the state powerlifting meet. Two of them -- Addison Berry and Arianna Bermudez – placed 10th in their weight classes.“Berry set personal records and school records,” coach TJ Cleavinger said.

Lady Badger softball kicks off district play with dominant win

Monday marked the beginning of district competition for the softball season, and the Lady Badgers could not have started any better. They controlled Lago Vista in an 11-0 win.Brooklyn Farmer was dominant in the circle for Lampasas.

Lampasas lifter headed to state meet after winning at regionals

On Saturday, six different Badger lifters made the trip to Gatesville for the regional powerlifting meet. As a team, they finished in the top half of the region.One Badger left with a gold medal and a ticket to the state powerlifting meet.

Junior high track teams race at Marble Falls

Three of the four Lampasas Middle School track teams came away as winners at the meet in Marble Falls last week.Both boys’ teams and the seventh-grade girls’ team all finished in first place in the standings, while the eighth-grade girls placed third.Individual results were as follows.

Badgers suffer tough defeat on the road at Burnet

Tuesday night saw the first road district game of the season for the Badger baseball team when they headed to Burnet to take on a very tough Bulldog team.The Badgers suffered a 15-2 loss, as Burnet hit the ball well all night and capitalized on Lampasas mistakes to score runs.
