Mrs. Lindsey

Betty Lindsey, 83, died on Feb. 25, 2026, in Lampasas.She was born on May 29, 1942, in Wichita Falls. She was the daughter of Louise Maclin (Rambo) and Clem Maclin.A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on March 7 at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Hunt

Delena Shaw Hunt of Goldthwaite died on Feb. 18, 2026.Delena was born in Wharton and grew up in West Columbia, but her family’s Shaw roots were in Goldthwaite.She retired and moved to Goldthwaite with her husband in 2012.Delena had a love for horses, rodeo and all people.

Mrs. Queen

Margaret Marie Queen died on Feb. 24, 2026.A celebration of her life will be held March 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. The family will welcome friends and relatives for visitation an hour preceding the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Rogers

Julian Rudy Rogers, 79, of Lampasas died peacefully on Feb. 11, 2026. Born on Aug. 19, 1946 to John N. Rogers and Regina Mejia, Rudy was a lifelong resident of Lampasas.He loved his hometown and built a life rooted in faith, family, service and community.

Mrs. Tatum

Marilyn Kay (Hughes) Tatum, 70, of Pharr and formerly of Lampasas, died on Jan. 10, 2026. After a 4.5-month battle with complications after a stroke, she passed away peacefully in her sleep.Marilyn was born July 8, 1955 to William and Esther Hughes in La Junta, Colorado.

Mrs. Tidwell

Nancy Sue Tidwell, 75, of Lampasas, died on Feb. 11, 2026. She was born on Oct.15, 1950, in Lampasas to Billie Jo Insall and Maggie Insall.Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Feb. 18 at 11 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Services set Feb. 14 for Buddy Moore

Mr. MooreVisitation will be held Feb. 13 from 5-7 p.m. with the family of James C. “Buddy” Moore at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel. Moore died Feb. 9, 2026 at the age of 87.Funeral services will be Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. at First Street Church of Christ, with interment to follow at Nix Cemetery.

Mrs. Phelps

Anna Mae Jordan Phelps, 95, died on Feb. 4, 2026 in Copperas Cove.Anna was born on Jan. 15, 1931 to W.F. “Bill” and Ollie Jordan in Lampasas. She grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School.

Mrs. Lane

Nell Lane of Lampasas died peacefully at her home on Feb. 5, 2026, at the age of 96.She was born on Aug. 15, 1929, in Seagraves to Bernard and Lenora Nash.Services honoring Nell will be held Feb. 11 at Lampasas Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Allan to officiate. The service will begin at 11 a.

Ms. Holloway

Laurie Ann Holloway of McKinney, formerly of Kempner, died unexpectedly Dec. 1, 2025. She was 65.A celebration of her life was held at her favorite library in the historic district of McKinney.Laurie graduated from Lampasas High School in 1978.
