Delena Shaw Hunt of Goldthwaite died on Feb. 18, 2026.
Delena was born in Wharton and grew up in West Columbia, but her family’s Shaw roots were in Goldthwaite.
She retired and moved to Goldthwaite with her husband in 2012.
Delena had a love for horses, rodeo and all people.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Fay and Randel Shaw.
Delena is survived by her husband, Michael Hunt of Goldthwaite; daughter, Randi Roberts of Stephenville; Randi’s fiancé, Eric Leach of Stephenville; brothers DeWayne Shaw of West Columbia and Dennis Huebner of Brazoria; sister, Debbie Howe of West Columbia; and their families.
Funeral services for Delena will be held on Feb. 28 at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Mills County.
Memorial donations may be made to either the Texas Senior Pro Rodeo Association (TSPRA), Wings of Texas Hospice or a cancer society of one’s choosing.
